Two arrested for breaking and enterings

CEDAR SPRINGS — Two Cedar Springs men were arrested on Sunday for their believed involvement in two breaking and enterings of two party stores.

Michigan State Police troopers responded to a breaking and entering call at 7 a.m. on Sunday at RJ’s Party Store, located at 214 S. Ensley Street in Howard City. Troopers also were called to another breaking and entering at the Pierson Mobil Store on Cannonsville Road in Pierson.

Upon review of the surveillance video from RJ’s Party Store, troopers identified a white Pontiac minivan parked in front of the store. A white male was seen breaking the front door window with a crowbar and carrying cigarettes and alcohol from the store.

The minivan was registered to a residence in Cedar Springs. Troopers went to the residence and arrested two men for the felony breaking and entering. The two suspects are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Montcalm County District Court.
