EDUCATION: Chippewa Hills to host first Warrior vs. Food eating competition

REMUS – Anyone who has seen the TV show “Man vs. Food” will know what to expect at the first Warrior vs. Food eating competition to benefit Chippewa Hills Intermediate School.

The challenge, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, is to eat six coney dogs or 10 bitty burgers, supplied by Pixie Restaurant in Mount Pleasant.

Participants can enter individually or in teams of four. Those who complete the challenge will have their names added to a wall of fame in the school and get “I Beat the Pixie” stamped on their Warrior vs. Food T-shirts, which all participants will receive.

Registration is $15 and must be submitted by Oct. 24. Proceeds go to the intermediate school parent group, which supports various student organizations.

Awards will go to the teams that finishes first in the men’s, women’s and under 14 divisions. Each winning team will have a plaque added to the wall of fame.
