PARIS — The Green Township Board of Trustees voted to purchase a new generator and air conditioner during its Tuesday meeting, totaling nearly $25,000.

Trustees voted to purchase a generator for a sewer lift station from Remus Electric for $17,590. The purchase includes an additional five-year warranty on the unit.

Township officials also voted to purchase an air conditioning unit for the township hall’s public rental space. The contract was awarded to Stratz Heating and Cooling, of Big Rapids, for $7,200.

In other news, the township will hold its annual spring clean up day from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the township hall. The event is open to township residents.

“It’s only for Green Township residents who received a card (in the mail),” said township Supervisor Bob Baldwin.
