More than 3,000 visit LeRoy for breakfast, agricultural education

Families and individuals flocked to Gingrich Meadows in LeRoy on Saturday for Breakfast on the Farm. The event was sponsored by Michigan State University Extension and is designed to teach people where their food comes from. Event-goers were treated to a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, milk, yogurt and watermelon before visiting learning stations that made agriculture come to life. The event began in 2009 and Saturday’s breakfast marked the first time Breakfast on the Farm was held in Osceola County. Six other events were held throughout the state of Michigan during the summer and one will be held in October. (Pioneer video/Sarah Neubecker)
