City approves garbage rates, votes down trash bin policy

Big Rapids City Commissioners voted 3-2 against adopting guidelines outlining refuse policies during their Tuesday, September 4 meeting. Mayor Mark Warba directed city staff to revise and resubmit the policies as an ordinance, which will offer the city more recourse when complications or disputes arise.
