Survivors of suicide gain support from Hospice

BIG RAPIDS — Hospice of Michigan is offering support to the survivors of family member who have committed suicide.

The Survivors of Suicide support group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month starting March 11 at the Hospice of Michigan office, located at 400 Perry Ave. in Big Rapids.

Tangela Zielinski said the group was started in response to the community’s needs. It will offer tips for coping and support for family, friends and coworkers who have been affected by suicide. Topics will brought up as they arise said Zielinski.

Members will be encouraged to share their feelings and experiences related to their loss.
