Sept. 11 memorial car built, sponsored locally

REMEMBERING: Members of the Big Rapids Police, Northend Rentals, members of the U.S. armed forces and sponsors stand next to the Sept. 11 memorial vehicle Northend Rentals made to race. The car, a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass, is sponsered by Marvel Auto, Blade Graphics, Nowlin Builders and Rhythmic Sky. It will be in 15 races this summer.

Armed forces represented in the photo are Spc. Tony Giese, Spc. Les Morey and Sgt. Eric Morrow.

Ryan Bouman, Mike Sims, Giese and Chad Moore, all of Northend Rentals, worked on the vehicle.
