Saluting 60 years for Babb Ford

“The cars we drive say a lot about us.”

— Alexandra Paul

Not only is it the cars we drive which say a lot about us, but in the case of Babb Ford — the cars they sell say a lot about them

And they have sold a lot of cars.

For 60 years, Babb Ford in Reed City has been selling good, solid, dependable cars to good, solid, dependable people.

A lot of family sedans have been sold off the lot, and a lot more good, working-class pickup trucks have been supplied to both businesses and individuals through Mecosta and Osceola counties.

Sixty years.

That is a long time for any business to survive anymore, and it says something special about our business neighbors at Babb Ford.

The business started out in Evart and later shifted operations to Reed City. The team at Babb have sold cars out of the same location for decades.

There is a real sense of continuity at Babb. It remains a Babb family enterprise and has passed from father, to son and some day possibly beyond that.

Continuity. Integrity. Decency.
Community.

A good business cannot survive without a strong combination of all of the above.

We at the Pioneer salute our business neighbor — Ron Babb and his entire team.

Sixty years is a lot of time to be in business in this day and age, and we wish the Babb operation another 60-years and more.

We congratulate the Babb team on the business’ continuity and appreciate the strong sense of community that has always emanated from this bustling enterprise at the intersection of U.S. 10 and Old U.S. 131.

All the best, and may your business go from strength to strength.
