POLICE BLOTTER: Cadillac man arrested for assault, OWI

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Thursday. All calls might not be reported.

  • Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 8 a.m. on State Street near Knollview Drive.
  • Police were called to a disorderly person complaint at 8:05 a.m. on the 500 block of Willow Avenue.
  • Officers assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at 10:50 a.m. on the 21000 block of Perry Avenue.
  • Police handled a civil complaint at 2:18 p.m. on the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue.
  • A 23-year-old Breckenridge man was cited for driving with a suspended license at 8:08 p.m.
  • Officers assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office at 8:30 p.m. at the Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital emergency room.
  • A 41-year-old Cadillac man was arrested for assault, operating while intoxicated and resisting and obstructing at 11:08 p.m. on the 700 block of Perry Avenue.
  • A 21-year-old Jenison man was arrested for urinating in public at 11:40 p.m.
