GRAND RAPIDS — The Grand Rapids Symphony will present a free hour-long concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the Meijer Theater of the Grand Rapids Public Museum, 272 Pearl St. NW, Grand Rapids.

The concert, intended as a tribute to how symphony musicians in Grand Rapids have served the community since 1930, will feature past and present musicians as soloists, composers and conductors.

The program will feature music of the past and present, with a focus on American composers. At its conclusion, all facets of the orchestra will come together in celebration of past and present with the rousing finale of Beethoven’s “Fifth Symphony.”
