Barbershop harmony to sing at Dec. 12, Dec. 13 holiday show

REED CITY — Crossroads Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines invites everyone to its 2015 Christmas Show. Two performances are planned: An evening concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 12, and a matinee at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13.

Both performances will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reed City. The church is located on Four Mile Road.

This year’s show is “’Twas the Night…” It is filled with traditional songs, such as “Carol of the Bells” and “We Need A Little Christmas” as well as some lively and fun numbers like “Be-boppin’ Santa Claus” and “Jamaican Noel.”

The program includes guest performers from the Pine River High School Honors Choir, directed by Jessica Gardner, on both programs. In addition, Quartets “Rejoice” and “on Fire” will sing.

This year’s show also will feature an event called the “Friendship Song.” Members of Crossroads Harmony have invited some of their friends to come to a couple of rehearsals and then join them on stage for the singing of “Let it Snow, Let it Snow!”

Tickets can be purchased in Evart at Holihan’s Drugs and in Reed City at Andres Computer and from the Evart Chamber of Commerce at the Depot. Tickets can also be reserved by calling (231) 592-5328 or purchased from chorus members. Tickets are available at the door. Both shows will offer audience members the opportunity to enter a 50/50 drawing and door prizes will also be given away.
