HANDMADE GOODS: The Stone Hatchery Park Market Place and Farmers Market is open for the season. The market is free for vendors and shoppers and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every other Thursday through Oct. 6 in Stone Hatchery Park in Paris, according to coordinator Vonda Kirk. “We’re looking for crafters, woodworkers, that kind of thing,” she said. “We want more things like that rather than flea-market type products – but people can still bring garage sale items.” Dick Ford said the Stone Hatchery Market is the only market he visits to sell the wood products he makes (Above). “I’ve always liked woodworking,” he said. “It gives me something to do rather than sit around the house. I’m out here every other Thursday – I do it to have something to do.” (Pioneer photo/Adam Gac)
