Dozens of area residents brought their lawn chairs to Bromley Park in Mecosta on Friday night for the kickoff concert of Music on the River. Key West Permafrost Blues Band began the night with a performance of “Mustang Sally.” The band continued to play a variety of upbeat tunes throughout the show, getting the audience to bop along to the beats. In its 16th season, the Music on the River concerts, hosted by Mecosta Revitalization, will continue throughout the summer. Concerts will begin at 7 p.m. on Fridays. The next concert is scheduled for July 7, and will feature Sea Cruisers. (Pioneer photos/Emily Grove)
