BIG RAPIDS — From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, representatives from Spectrum Heath Reed City and Big Rapids Hospitals will lead a discussion on how to utilize their new telemedicine program, MedNow, during the Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce Lunch and Learn seminar.

The event will take place at the chamber offices, 127 S. State St., Big Rapids.

MedNow, from Spectrum Health, provides medical care for non-life threatening conditions such as cold/flu, nausea/vomiting, pink eye and other conditions. MedNow connects users to a provider using technology to bridge the distance. Lunch and learn attendees will learn how they can use MedNow from any mobile device or computer with an internet connection.

Attendees are invited to bring their lunch and to learn more about MedNow and telemedicine, and see how to access these services from home, saving time and travel costs. Seating is limited, so reservations are appreciated for this free, one-hour Lunch and Learn event. Registration is available at mecostacounty.com or by calling (231)796-7649.
