Ferris trustees approve zero-percent housing, dining increase

BIG RAPIDS — Students returning to Ferris State University’s campus next fall may notice there will not be an increase in housing and dining costs for the 2018-19 academic year.

During its meeting on Friday, Oct. 6, the Ferris Board of Trustees approved a zero-percent rate increase, as well as its final general fund operating budget of $211.5 million, and its final housing and dining budget of $32.6 million for 2018.

The next regular meeting of the board is Friday, Dec. 15, in Big Rapids. Committee meetings begin at 3 p.m. and are followed by the 4 p.m. full board meeting.
