Blanchard man runs stop sign, hits another vehicle

MILLBROOK TWP. — A Blanchard man received non-life-threatening injuries from a two-vehicle accident Tuesday in Mecosta County.

At approximately 2:14 p.m. on Oct. 31, Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Monroe Road in Millbrook Township. Police found a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Blanchard man was driving eastbound on Monroe Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection, striking a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Blanchard woman travelling southbound on 10th Avenue. The male was transported to the Spectrum Hospital in Lakeview for treatment of his injuries.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Wheatland Township Fire, Millbrook Township Rescue and EMS from Montcalm County.
