REED CITY — Around three dozen area businesses and organizations will showcase their products and services during the Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce’s 14th annual Community and Business Expo.

The expo will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Reed City High School cafetorium. There is no fee for admission.

The annual event provides residents a central location to learn more about local companies and groups in the community, said Chastity Eads, executive director of the chamber of commerce.

“This is the 14th annual event and it is a great opportunity for the community to connect with so many businesses and community organizations all at once,” she said.

Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital also will be helping coordinate a health fair and flu shot clinic during the expo.

Residents also will be able to learn about the Mecosta-Osceola Community Resource Committee, which will be offering a coat/winter wear giveaway, Eads said.

“They will have a section of the expo where they will have coats, gloves, hats and other items available to any community member in need of those items,” she said.

Between 300 to 500 are expected to attend the annual event. Eads said the expo provides the vendors an opportunity to learn more about each other.

“The expo also is a great networking event for businesses and community organizations who would like to share what they do as well as see what other area business and organizations have to offer,” she said.
