Mecosta County officials look to adopt 2018 budget

BIG RAPIDS — With less than a month to go until the new year, Mecosta County officials have worked to assemble the 2018 governmental budget.

County commissioners are expected to decide on a proposed budget of $13.7 million during their meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Mecosta County Building. A budget hearing prior to the board meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

Officials also will look at a variety of terms of appointments for committees and boards for 2018 and beyond at the meetings, discuss a grant for the regional sobriety court and set a salary and wage schedule for 2018.
