BIG RAPIDS — The Ferris State University men’s and women’s basketball squads will try to keep the momentum going this week as the Bulldogs start a four-game Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road stretch with back-to-back games in Ohio.

Then, on Saturday (Feb. 10), FSU visits the Ashland Eagles for a league twinbill with the women hitting the floor first at 1 p.m. (ET) and the men wrapping up the doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. (ET).

The Bulldog men’s basketball squad is off to a school all-time best 23-1 overall start and holds a two-game lead atop the GLIAC North Division standings at 13-1 in league action. FSU, which has now won 11 consecutive games, is currently ranked second in the nation in the Division II Sports Information Directors (D2SIDA) National Poll along with third by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Meanwhile, the FSU women’s team is presently 12-10 overall to date this year and is coming off a 78-67 league home win over Saginaw Valley State last Saturday inside FSU’s Jim Wink Arena. The Bulldogs have won three of their last five outings overall and are presently tied for sixth in the conference standings with the top eight teams at the end of the regular-season earning berths in the league tourney.
