Ferris community marches in honor of Cesar Chavez

Ferris State University students, staff and community members spent Tuesday afternoon learning about and honoring Cesar Chavez, labor leader and civil rights activist, with the inaugural social justice march. Before heading out into the cold to march across FSU’s campus, attendees heard from Chavez’s grandson, Eduardo Chavez. Eduardo said to live a life in the image his grandfather set, attendees should practice selflessness, be relentless in the pursuit of their passions and goals and speak up when they see injustice.
