POLICE BLOTTER: Rocks thrown through windows of building on Bridge Street

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls Tuesday. All calls might not be reported.

Tuesday

• Police received a report of malicious destruction of property on the 500 block of West Bridge Street. Damage was done to two windows located on the south side of the building, facing the cemetery. Rocks were thrown through the glass, but no entry was made into the building. The incident happened between last Friday and Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety.

• A two-vehicle accident occurred on South Warren Avenue near Linden Street.

• A civil complaint was reported on the 100 block of Ives Avenue.

• Officers performed an area check on the 700 block of Perry Avenue.

• Police received a larceny complaint on the 200 block of Pemberton Avenue. The suspect was identified and the property was returned to its owner. Charges will be sought with the prosecutor’s office.

• Officers were called about a vehicle accident at 6:22 p.m. on State Street near Marion Avenue. A vehicle lost control and hit a light pole on the corner.

• Police were on the lookout for a possible intoxicated driver at 7:10 p.m. on Willow Avenue near Cedar Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

• A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8:18 p.m. on State Street near Fuller Avenue.
