BIG RAPIDS — TransCanada Pipelines Limited will be the presenting sponsor for the second annual Share the Harvest dinner in downtown Big Rapids on Aug. 11.

The Share the Harvest dinner raises funds for Manna Pantry of Big Rapids, the local emergency food pantry located adjacent to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on State Street. The Pantry serves primarily Mecosta and Osceola counties, providing food staples to people in a food emergency.

“We recognize the good work that the Pantry does and we are proud to help out,” said Larry London, Transcanada representative.

The Share the Harvest dinner features all locally grown fresh produce with everything being prepared by local cooks.

“We are very pleased that Transcanada will be part of this year’s event and their support will help insure this year’s event is bigger and better than last year,” said Event Chair Jody Gardi.

Transcanada donated $2,000 to the event and over the years has been a strong supporter of Manna Pantry.

Tickets are $50 each and are on sale at Currie’s BP, The Old Pioneer Store and Three Girls Bakery beginning in June. Businesses or individuals wanting to sponsor the event can contact the Pantry at (231) 408-2940. A variety of sponsorship levels are available.
