BIG RAPIDS — St. Peter’s Lutheran School preschoolers through fourth-graders will soon take to the stage to tell their families and community members about being a kid.

Students have been preparing for the 46th annual St. Peter’s Musical since spring break. The show is set for later this week, with a dress rehearsal at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, and another performance at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 18. Both performances are free and open to the public and will be in the school gym, located at 408 W. Bellevue St., Big Rapids.

The theme of this year’s performance is “I Like Being a Kid.”

“We are happy to have people come and share this event with us,” said musical director Zonna Heck. “You will hear songs you probably know. Your toes will start tapping. You’ll have a smile on your face seeing these kids have so much fun.”
