Grand Rapids man injured in accident

AETNA TWP. — A Grand Rapids man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle accident Monday night near Morley.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at 9:51 p.m. to U.S. 131 and Jefferson Road in Aetna Township for a car that had crashed into a tree. Through their investigation, deputies believe the 25-year-old Grand Rapids man had hydroplaned and traveled off the roadway, into the median and struck a tree.

The man was transported to Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital for his injuries.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Morley Rescue, Morley Fire and Mecosta County Emergency Medical Services.
