BIG RAPIDS — Music, food and fun will combine on Saturday in an effort to help raise money to benefit the Big Rapids Community Library.

The 18th annual Library Benefit will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the Sawmill Saloon, 1003 Maple St., Big Rapids.

Each year, the event draws crowds to listen to live music and enjoy the chicken barbecue dinner while raising funds for the Friends of the Big Rapids Community Library, which has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the library since its inception.

Performers for the benefit are expected to include Doug Thorstenson, T.K. Kelly, Susan Booker Morris, Allison LeVeque, Bob Craig and Marty Munroe.
