Mecosta County 49th Circuit Court reports

BIG RAPIDS — The following cases were heard this week in Mecosta County’s 49th Circuit Court. All cases may not be reported.

• Jerry Alan Welder Jr., 31, of Morley, pleaded guilty to assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. He was sentenced to time served and must pay fines and court fees.

• Andrew Lee Dennis, 33, of Remus, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct (relation). He was sentenced to 45 days to 25 years in prison. He was credited with serving 209 days. Dennis must register as a sex offender for life. Per the plea agreement, sentencing guidelines were used for third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

• Thomas Aaron Bryant, 25, of Blanchard, pleaded guilty to operating or maintaining a meth lab. He was sentenced to between 18 months and 20 years in prison. As part of the plea agreement, the prosecutor’s office dismissed charges of manufacturing meth, two felony firearm charges and possession of meth.

• DeJuan Lapri Campbell, 29, of Ypsilanti, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver marijuana. His sentencing is delayed.
