4-H’ers showcase skill, preparation during goat show

EVART — The Osceola County 4-H/FFA Fair was filled with friends and families cheering on 4-H’ers of all ages as they participated in the youth and open class goat judging on Tuesday. During the intermediate class, Judge Sara Doerschler asked participants to complete a series of tasks with their animals, including lining up, walking in a circle and standing in one position while she evaluated them. Sabrina McKay, a former 4-H participant who watched the goat judging, said showing animals was a big part of her life. “I gained a lot of friends, and you learn a lot of team bonding and leadership skills,” she said.
