Senior Salute: Reed City’s Jenna Johnson

Jenna Johnson

REED CITY — Senior Jenna Johnson and the Reed City volleyball team may have fallen 3-0 to Tri County on Tuesday, but she noticed significant improvement from her team.

“We definitely did a lot better than the last time we played them,” Johnson said. “We got a lot stronger and were better at blocking at hitting. Our setting was really good and we’re playing a lot smarter. But we still could’ve had some improvements.”

A team captain, Johnson has acclimated to her leadership role well.

“I just try to be positive with everyone and make sure that nobody is down and that everyone is happy,” she said. “Being a senior is cool; I get to play a lot more and I feel more like a leader.”

Reed City (6-12) faces Chippewa Hills next week Tuesday in conference play.
