POLICE BLOTTER: Officers called to assist ER staff

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls Wednesday. All calls might not be reported

• Officer performed school traffic detail.

• Police responded to an assistance call at 8:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Marion Avenue.

• Officers were dispatched at 10:17 a.m. to assist staff at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital’s emergency room.

• At 10:46 a.m, officers assisted Ferris State University Department of Public Safety for an alarm.

• Officers tagged a vehicle as abandoned at 12:03 p.m. on the 100 block of Bridge Street.

• Police performed a well-being check at 1:31 p.m. on the 300 block of Pemberton Avenue.

• Officers were called to assist emergency room staff at SHBRH at 2:46 p.m.

• A two-car crash occurred at 2:50 p.m. on South Street and Campus Drive.

• At 5:39 p.m., officers assisted a motorist at Bridge and State streets. The vehicle ran out of gas and the battery died. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.

• A criminal sexual conduct complaint from November 2017 was reported to officers. The incident is under investigation.

• Officers responded to a noise complaint on the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue.
