POLICE BLOTTER: Woman in wheelchair reportedly moving in traffic lane

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls Monday. All calls might not be reported.

• Police responded to a traffic crash at 7:45 a.m. at State and Maple streets.

• Officers performed school traffic detail at 7:52 a.m.

• At 8:37 a.m., officers received a traffic complaint from Oct. 4 about a vehicle which passed a school bus on Madison Street near Fourth Avenue.

• Officers assisted the Michigan State Police.

• A traffic crash occurred at 12:43 p.m. at Oak Street and Michigan Avenue.

• Officers were dispatched to a traffic crash at 2:16 p.m. on the 100 block of North Michigan.

• A traffic crash occurred at State and Rust Avenue.

• Someone turned over a found purse at 3:30 p.m. and it was returned to its owner.

• Officers performed an area check at 5:15 p.m. for a woman in a wheelchair in a traffic lane on the 500 block of South Third Avenue. The woman was gone when officers arrived.

• A third-party called about a possible suicide on the 400 block of Woodward Avenue. The subject was not suicidal.

• Police were called for a suspicious man who was knocking on a door for 10 minutes on the 700 block of Tioga Park Drive. The man was gone when police arrived.

• Officers responded to a call for assistance on the 300 block of South Michigan.
