LEROY — It was an enjoyable season for Parker Moores on Pine River’s volleyball temperatures

It was her junior season and she was among Pine River’s top players. It was her second varsity season.

“I think we improved,” she said. “We lost a few seniors that had a big impact on the team. We’re growing and improving. I know I still have work to do. There was a lot of pressure taken off my shoulders (as a second-year varsity player).”

Moores usually played as an outside hitter, the same as last year.

“I think I can read the court well and I know where to put the ball,” she said. “I’ve been focusing on communication with my team and keeping a good attitude. Our team has a good serving percentage. It was around 90 percent. We all focused hard on it. We don’t overthink, we know how to put the ball in.

“We all need to work together and can’t get down on ourselves.”
