POLICE BLOTTER: Officers search for vicious dogs in 1400 block of Catherine Street

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Monday and Tuesday. All calls might not be reported.

Monday

• Officers performed a traffic stop at 10:32 a.m. in the 100 block of Bellevue Street which led to a woman being cited for not having insurance.

• Officers responded to a complaint of roofers blaring country music as they worked at 2:47 p.m. in the 300 block of Marion Avenue.

• At 10:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of South State Street. A male customer made odd remarks to a female employee mentioning how he likes to see her at work and how he sees her walking to work. Officers do not know who the man is.

• At 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report in the 1400 block of Catherine Street for two vicious dogs, described as a black lab-type mix and a brown and white mix. The officers were unable to catch the dogs.

Tuesday

• Officers performed a traffic stop at Maple Street and Fourth Avenue at 5:49 a.m., which led to a man being cited for not having insurance.
