BIG RAPIDS — Morley Stanwood’s Trevor Underhill is coming off a strong summer season of baseball for the Quad City Storm 18U.Now he’s ready for his next challenge.

Underhill played first base for Quad City and had a run -producing single in Sunday’s 6-4 title game loss to Mount Pleasant.

“It was good to play with the guys one last summer and develop,” he said. “I learned a lot.”

He had a fun time with his teammates in Michigan City last weekend for second place in a tourney.

He earned All-Central State Activities Association Silver Division honors and helped the Mohawks win their third straight league title.

Underhill now heads to Alma College where he’ll be playing football.

“I have work outs every single day and have diets, and am getting to know the guys on the team,” he said.

Underhill usually played first base this summer.

“I hit the ball pretty well,” he said. “There’s some pretty good pitchers. Ian James (Ferris hitting instructor) has helped me develop well.”
