Softball program sets kids day

BIG RAPIDS  — The Ferris State University softball program has announced plans for a “Kids Day With The Dogs” event on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids.

During the free event, youth ages 4-13 will enjoy a day with the Bulldog softball squad and will receive free softball instruction from the FSU players and coaches. They will also be invited to stay after the workout for a team meet and greet.

The clinic runs on Aug. 25 with instruction from noon to 2 p.m. The meet and greet will follow from 2-4 p.m. and include snacks and fun games for all ages. Participants are encouraged to bring cleats or tennis shoes, a glove and a bat.

In the event of rain, the event will be pushed to Sept. 7.
