RCHS band prepares for new show

Despite the hot weather, the Reed City High School band gathered with enthusiasm to prepare for their new halftime show at the summer marching band camp. The camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Aug. 5-10, allows the kids to practice marching drills as well as play their instruments, with band director Michael Klepp guiding from the sidelines. The new show, which is a rendition of the “Monster Mash,” will debut at the first football game of the year, but the band will also be performing at several other events throughout the season.
