POLICE BLOTTER: Officers make arrests for drunken driving, operating under influence of drugs

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Tuesday. All calls might not be reported.

• A wallet was found and turned into the office at 2:23 p.m. The owner was contacted to pick it up.

• A walk-in larceny complaint was received at 3:25 p.m. The complainant said the theft occurred in the third week of July in the 1800 block of Milton Avenue.

• At 3:36 p.m., a two-car accident at Maple Street and Michigan Avenue resulted in a 23-year-old man being arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs.

• Officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint at 4:12 p.m. in the 300 block of Marion Avenue.

• At 5:35 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen from Parkview Village. The bike was recovered in the 600 block of Maple. Officers said the suspect may be an 11-year-old boy.

• After investigating a car accident, which occurred in the 400 block of North State Street, officers arrested a 26-year-old woman for drunken driving.

• At 11:21 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint in the 1100 block of Fuller Avenue.
