Man suffers non-life threatening injuries following car crash

MECOSTA TWP. — A Haslett man is recovering from non-life threatening injuries following a car crash Tuesday morning.

At approximately 2:12 a.m., deputies with the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on 8 Mile Road near Northland Drive in Mecosta Township.

According to a press release, a 29-year-old man from Haslett was traveling eastbound on 8 Mile Road when he ran off the road, struck some trees and hit an unoccupied parked truck in a parking lot.

The driver was transported to Spectrum Health Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.

The MCSO was assisted by Mecosta/Austin Township Fire and Rescue and Mecosta County EMS.
