Bulldog update to air

BIG RAPIDS —- Ferris State University fans have yet another way in which to stay up-to-date on all the latest athletics news as the “Bulldog Sports Update” will air this fall as part of a new partnership with “The Sports Project” radio show on Saturday mornings.

The Sports Project airs each Saturday morning on WYGR radio in Grand Rapids, which can be found at 94.9 FM and 99.5 FM. The broadcast is also streamed online at www.Jethro.FM and is broadcast from 10 a.m. to noon.

The two-hour show, hosted by Steve Prawdzik (also known as Project), is in its second year and highlights local sports from West Michigan and the Grand Rapids area, including significant coverage of area schools and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) among others.

The Bulldog Sports Update feature will air as part of the show each week thru the fall and both recap the latest action for the Bulldogs along with previewing upcoming contests. It will be produced by the Bulldog Sports Network’s Conner Pyrc, who serves as an intern for FSU Athletics.

Prawdzik is a longtime fixture in the West Michigan sports scene who has been involved in sports promotion since 1980 when he was the director of athletic promotions at WMU as a grad student. He has also been a general manager (GR Hoops in basketball and GR Eagles in semi-pro football) and involved with Amway global sponsorship and with Wolverine Worldwide. He has operated his local sports marketing company, Project Sports Management, since 1988. He also serves as associate department chair and professor, sports management within Davenport’s College of Business.
