Reed City hosts Coyote Invitational on Friday

REED CITY — Reed City is hosting the Coyote Invitational on Friday at Falcon Head Golf Course in Big Rapids.
Reed City coach Katrina Wray said nine teams will be at the 18-hole tournament. It starts at 9 a.m.
“I think the teams to beat will be Chippewa Hills and Sparta,” she said. “Those are the two I’m thinking might be our toughest competition.”
Friday, Reed City played at The Pines in Isabella and finished fourth as a team.
Brady Slater tied for fifth overall with an 86.
Reed City played at Whitefish Lake Golf Club on May 8 in Central State Activities Association action and placed sixth with a 391. Slater had a 91, followed by Bryce Grannis (97), Josh Mund (101), Seth Phelps (102), Zack Wirgau (109) and Thomas Quinn (111).
The conference season ends with the league tourney on May 23 at Cedar Chase Golf Course.
The Coyotes will later focus on the regional tournament.
