Libey leads Reed City over Tri County

Reed City 64, Tri County 47

HOWARD CITY – Emily Libey scored 14 points while Alanna Nelson and Kamryn Myers added 12 apiece to lead undefeated Reed City past Tri County on Tuesday in CSAA Gold action.

Taylor Harrison added 10 for Reed City which led 15-11 after the first quarter, 29-22 at halftime and 44-31 after the third quarter. Reed City had a 20-15 scoring edge in the fourth quarter.

“It was a game where our pressure defense wore them down,” Reed City coach BrianKoopman said. “But we did give up 40 points which is a little disappointing. Things are looking good for us.

Reed City (8-0, 4-0) is home against Chippewa Hills on Friday.

Lake City 61, Evart 36

LAKE CITY – Macey Wallce led Evart with 13 points in a Highland Conference loss on Tuesday to Lake City on Tueday. McKenize Kimball had six points and Cyana Dellar added five.

Lake City had quarter leads of 16-9, 25-19 and 47-26.

The first half, we played pretty solid,” Evart coach Paul Higgins said. “Defensively, we did things very well. We made shots in the first half.

“In the second half, we didn’t knock down shots. We were sluggish. We executed well in the first half. In the second half, we didn’t so as well.”

Evart is at Manton on Thursday.
