RCAPS welcomes Michigan Department of Education

REED CITY — Reed City Area Public Schools welcomed Randy Riley, of the Michigan Department of Education, on a tour of the district.

Each year, state education officials visit five to 10 schools to learn about the schools in the state, as well as their programs firsthand. The visit included a tour of the buildings and facilities, visiting classrooms and speaking with building principals about strengths and challenges in public education.

The visit presented RCAPS an opportunity to highlight some of the great things happening within the district. In addition to Riley seeing technology applications in the buildings, he also was able to visit the high school bio-dome, a video productions class at the middle school and literacy programming at the elementary.
