Evart students show school spirit with parade

Despite the chilly weather, community members lined 5th Street in Evart to show their support for the school during the annual homecoming parade. Led by the Evart High School band, the parade wove through town before leading attendees to the Osceola County Fairgrounds, where tailgating took place before the game. Members of the Evart volleyball team ride together on a float during the parade. After the parade, the football team took on the Beal City team in the annual homecoming football game.

Throughout the past week, Evart Public Schools students worked on their hero-themed homecoming floats to be presented during the parade. One float featured the Flash.

The band leads parade participants and attendees to the fairgrounds, where they presented an audience with the pre-game show before the football team took to the field.

An attendee races out to one trailer to give parade participants candy that had been tossed earlier in the parade.
