Little Mary’s fundraiser set for July 30

WELLSTON — Little Mary’s Hospitality House will benefit from a dinner and fundraiser to be held Saturday, July 30 at the Norman Township Community Center. Doors will open at 3 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and the start of the silent auction.

The dinner, which will be served at 5 p.m., will celebrate the 29th anniversary of Little Mary’s. It will be a Polynesian luau with a pig roast, sweet and sour chicken, Hawaiian baked fish, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob and more. For kids there will be face painting, a bounce house, games and other activities.

This is the seventh year for the anniversary dinner and it will be served by Cook’s Catering of Wellston.

Little Mary’s, established in 1982, is a free vacation/retreat for families who have children battling life threatening or terminal illnesses. The six apartment complex offers the vacations to help families cope with the mental and physical stresses pertaining to the illnesses.
