3rd Annual Parkdale Animal Hospital Rabies Clinic on Sunday

MANISTEE TOWNSHIP — Worldwide each year 55,000 people die from rabies — about one person every ten minutes.

Because rabies is 100 percent preventable, on the fifth annual World Rabies Day Parkdale Animal Hospital, 420 Parkdale Ave., Manistee, will join hundreds of organizations around the world in trying to making rabies history by offering a free comprehensive examination and rabies vaccine for dogs and cats.

The personnel at Parkdale Animal Hospital points out that rabies prevention starts with responsible pet owners who get their dogs and cats vaccinated.

The clinic will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers. It is suggested that pet owners park next door at Midas Auto Service.
