Successful young hunters share photos

The deer hunting season opened for youths 16 and under on Sept. 24 and 25 and plenty of Manistee area hunters sent the News Advocate photos of their successes.

Tanner Vadeboncoeur, 12 of Manistee, shot his first deer at 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 25. He was hunting with his grandfather near a cornfield south Manistee and shot the deer with a .44 Magnum carbine.
