Registration underway for Michigander Bicycle Tour

LANSING — Bicyclists can take advantage of a nationally top-ranked bicycle tour without leaving Michigan — the 21st annual Michigander Bicycle Tour July 14-20.

Riders are encouraged to register by May 1 in order to receive the early bird registration rate. Proceeds from the ride will go to the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance (MTGA) to support their efforts to connect Michigan through a statewide system of scenic trails. For more details or to register, visit www.michigantrails.org/michigander-bicycle-tour.

“This year the Michigander will feature Michigan’s most breath-taking rail trails and scenic roadways of the North Central State Trail and the North East State Trail, the newest additions to the Northern Trail network,” said Nancy Krupiarz, executive director of MTGA.

MTGA is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to developing non-motorized trails and greenways with the purpose of connecting parks and wilderness areas with cities and villages throughout Michigan.
