Jill Tabaczka, Nicholas Barnum are married

Jill Marie Tabaczka and Nicholas John Barnum were married June 23 at the First Congregational Church in Manistee.

Jill is the daughter of Jerry and Jane Tabaczka of Manistee and Nicholas is the son of John and Carolyn Barnum of Prescott, Mich.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. Steven Lashbrook. The bride wore a romantic Casablanca bridal gown of diamond white Italian satin. The soft sweetheart bodice was lined with princess seams complementing the A-line pleats of the chapel-length skirt. Beautiful beading and embroidery blanketed the entire gown, adding to its elegance.

The bride carried an ivory bouquet of peonies, lisianthus, ranunculus, freesia, hydrangeas and roses.

Serving as maid of honor was Jenna Tabaczka, sister of the bride. Attendants were Sherry Barnum, sister of the groom; and Toni Trucks, Kristen Janiczek and Amber Hubble, friends of the bride. They wore cornflower blue sweetheart gowns in tea-length with ruched waists looped with sashes on back.

Ryan Vallier, best friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen included Tim Barnum, brother of the groom; Jeff Shepard, cousin of the groom; and Jordan Pohl and David Boehm, friends of the groom. Ryan Polcyn, cousin of the bride, served as usher.

The reception was held at Manistee National Golf & Resort.

The couple spent a week in Bar Harbor, Maine and is making their home in Charlevoix.

Jill is a graduate of Manistee High School and she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Central Michigan University. She is an English teacher at Charlevoix High School.

Nicholas is a graduate of Whittemore-Prescott High School and he earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and is pursuing a master’s degree at Spring Arbor University. He is an English teacher at Charlevoix Middle School.
