On Wednesday evening in the area there were no fewer than three school holiday concerts — the Madison/Jefferson Elementary School Sing for first grade and kindergarten students at Manistee High School, Kaleva Norman Dickson’s grades K-5 Christmas program at the Brethren School cafetorium, and the West Shore Community College Wind Symphony presented its fall concert at the college’s Center Stage Theater.

Tonight there will be three more — the Jefferson Elementary School Sing for grades 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. at Manistee High School, Bear Lake Schools Elementary Concert Sing at 7 p.m. at Bear Lake School, and the WSCC Jazz Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. at the college’s Center Stage Theater.

On Monday the Onekama Schools Holiday Band Concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the school and the Bear Lake Schools Middle/High School Band Concert is at 7 p.m. at that school. Manistee Catholic Central’s “Advent Journey to Christmas” program will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at MCC and the West Shore Community College Collegiates will be in concert Thursday, Dec. 20 at the WSCC Center Stage Theater.
