Kennedy Elementary students compete in Chess tournament

For the past 13 years the Duane Coyle has been volunteering to run a chess tournament at Kennedy Elementary School. Students from the fourth, fifth and sixth grade take part in the annual tournament and trophies are presented to the top three places in each grade level. An overall trophy is also presented to the overall winner. The tournament is run on the Swiss point system where a victory is two points, a draw one point and none for a loss. All the students get to play at last one match in the tournament.
