New tech center open

The public is invited to an open house and dedication of West Shore Community College’s new Technical Center this coming Saturday. The open house will include tours of the new facilities and demonstrations of instructional equipment.


Mid-week Lenten services

Mid-week Lenten Services will be held at Norwalk and Trinity Lutheran Churches. On Ash Wednesday the service will be at Trinity of Onekama and on Thursday evening at Norwalk Lutheran Church. Both services will begin at 7:30 p.m. At these services during the first week in Lent, Holy Communion will be celebrated.


Pay increase for Falleen

It was learned today that through a negotiation of a union committee of Local 455 of the United Mine Workers that the employees of the Falleen Drop Forge in Filer City have received a wage increase of 15 to 20 cents an hour, effective last Sunday.
